KEF LS LUXE

Ross Lovegrove's latest design for KEF is a compact wireless hi-fi pair with river-stone curves and a fluted back as handsome as the front.

The Shape

Lovegrove has worked with KEF on the monumental Muon speakers and the Mu7 headphones, and LS LUXE brings that same organic hand down to shelf size. A soft, rounded cover wraps the front, and the rear panel is sculpted with flowing flutes, so the pair looks finished from any side of the room. Finishes include Eclipse Black, Mineral White and the warm Dusk Titanium shown here.

The Sound

Each cabinet holds KEF's 12th-generation 6.5-inch Uni-Q driver with Metamaterial Absorption Technology to cut distortion, while a sensor system called VECO actively controls the bass driver's movement to keep the low end tight. Room EQ in the KEF Connect app tunes the pair to the space it lives in.

Connections

KEF's W2 platform streams Tidal, Deezer and more, with AirPlay and Google Cast on board. HDMI eARC ties the pair to a TV, wired inputs leave room for a turntable or CD player, and a machined aluminum-finish remote handles the rest.
