One Job

Zerowriter Fold opens straight to the page you left and saves everything as plain text, so there is no browser, inbox or feed waiting behind the document. The six-inch e-ink panel has a warm front light for late sessions, the battery runs for weeks between charges, and an SD card holds millions of words.

The Keyboard

Below the screen sits a 61-key low-profile mechanical keyboard with hot-swappable Kailh Choc switches. Choc Pro Reds come standard, with Sunset Tactile and silent Ambient Twilight switches from lowprokb.ca as upgrades, and the keycaps come from FKcaps in white or black.

The Shell

The folding enclosure closes over the screen and keys like a very small laptop and tilts open to whatever angle suits the desk. Black is the standard finish, with Crystal, Cardiff Beige, Electric Pink, Lime Green and a limited Retro edition on offer, plus a leather sleeve handmade in Gdansk.

Availability

Designed and assembled in Canada, the Fold funded on Kickstarter in 42 minutes. Preorders are open now at $289 ahead of an expected $349 retail price, with web orders slated to ship in March 2027.
