From the Back Seat

Early G-Class interiors came trimmed in a bold check cloth that collectors still hunt for. Pre-Merger, the shop behind a one-of-one 1998 Milspec Heritage G320, built its restoration around that pattern. Monos took the same motif and pressed it into brushed aluminum as Rodeo Check, a gunmetal finish with tonal black hardware.

Built to Take a Beating

The shell is anodized and electroplated aluminum that picks up a patina with every trip, so no two cases age the same way. Riveted corner guards and removable compression guards absorb the baggage carousel, and a zipperless frame closes with TSA-accepted latch locks. Inside, quilted antimicrobial taffeta lines the case and a removable dual pocket bag keeps small things in order.

Sizes and the Truck

Rodeo Check runs from the Aluminum Carry-On at $745 to the Trunk Large at $875, with a Carry-On Plus and two check-in sizes in between. The G320 itself is part of the launch: Monos is giving the restored truck away, with entries open through November 26.
