Amouage takes Guidance and loads it to 46% oil — well past standard extrait territory. Four weeks of ageing sit behind the formula: two of maceration, two of maturation. The result is denser projection and a longer trail without rewriting the fragrance's floral-amber spine.

Light Against Shade

Pear and rose water flash first, cut with frankincense, hazelnut, pink pepper, and bitter almond. Saffron, rose, sambac jasmine, and osmanthus thicken the middle. The drydown lands on cistus, sandalwood, akigalawood, ambergris, vanilla, ambrette, georgywood, and cypriol — warm, mineral, and deliberately overbuilt.
