Back to Basics

The Standard Pack starts from the simplest silhouette in the bag world, the two-pocket daybag most of us carried to school, and runs it through DSPTCH's technical playbook. At 18 liters and 10.5 by 18 by 7 inches, it is sized for a laptop day around town or a personal item under the seat on a flight, and it keeps a clean profile on the back.

Four Fabrics

Each version is made in the USA from serious cloth. Choose Dimension-Polyant X-Pac X50 in a light army green, Challenge Outdoor's three-layer EPLX 1680D Ballistic, the gridded ECOPAK EPX400 in black, or a 5.0 oz Dyneema Composite for the lightest build of the bunch. Mil-spec webbing, Duraflex hardware and a 420D packcloth lining carry through all four.

Organized Inside

Pleated side pockets take a 32 oz bottle and cinch flat when empty. Up front, a zip pocket holds two organizer sleeves and a carabiner clip, while the main compartment opens wide to a tilting padded laptop sleeve, a tablet sleeve, a mesh zip pocket and pleated top-loading organizers. D-ring mounts, a luggage strap and a hidden back-panel pocket round it out. Every version sells for $418 online and at the DSPTCH studio in San Francisco.
