Weber Workshops EG-1

The Benchmark, Rebuilt

Weber Workshops launched the EG-1 in 2015 and it has been the grinder serious home baristas measure against ever since. The new version drops the Mk numbering entirely. It keeps the 80mm flat burrs, single-dose workflow, and variable motor speed, then reworks almost everything around them.

Burrs That Stay True

The burrs now mount magnetically and sit in a chassis Weber calls Intrinsic Alignment, which holds them parallel and centered after every cleaning or swap. Pick the CORE set for everything from espresso to pour-over, or ULTRA for filter coffee with maximum clarity. An ion generator in the burr chamber cover kills static, and a vibration routine called Vibe Tone shakes loose any grounds caught in the teeth once the beans are gone.

Feed It Slowly

The optional Bean Feeder snaps on with magnets and meters beans into the burrs at a measured pace for a more even grind. The motor has at least 22 percent more torque and stops on its own when the chamber empties. A USB-C port handles firmware and settings, and the box includes a color-matched Blind Shaker, an oak platen base, and a rosewood brush.

Price and Availability

The EG-1 starts at $4,450 in Silver with CORE burrs and runs to $4,750 in Onyx with ULTRA. Orders are open now at Weber Workshops, with shipping in two to three weeks. The Bean Feeder adds $185.
